Some General Disclaimers/Info About FYHC

• WE POST DEAD PEOPLE. Specifically, we really ONLY like to post dead people. Please post a historical figure, someone that has made a significant impact in one way or another. Now we’ll give some leniency, but this isn’t really a Golden Era of Hollywood Appreciation blog (though what a great era that was!) There are many other tumblrs for that. And yes, history is a very broad term, but try to keep it to at least someone you could discuss in history class without the teacher condemning you for being irrelevant. A good guideline is posting only people who were active in 1950s and earlier.

• Also try not to post family members or their photos unless they are some kind of awesome history rock star.

• WE POST PEOPLE WHO KILL PEOPLE. A lot of people in history have killed people! A lot of people in history are in history for killing people! We do occasionally post Nazi’s, but when we do, we will post it with a “Nazi” tag so if you have tumblr saviour you can simply avoid it (because lets face it, Hugo Boss was boss and lets not forget the July 20th plot). However, we never glorify murder/genocide or associated crimes!

• PLEASE DON’T SEND US ASKS TELLING US WE ARE IMMORAL, AWFUL, WEIRD ETC FOR LIKING SOMEONE. First off, that is rude. People can’t always help who they like, gosh. Secondly, the mods are going to get those asks and 99% of the time we’re not even submitting the crushes! There’s a little box on the FYHC icon when a post shows up in your dashboard, THAT IS THE SUBMITTER. The main page will also say “submission” in the tags when it’s not by us.

• LIKEWISE, WE’RE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY INVALIDISM IN HISTORICAL ACCURACY. We trust whoever puts in the effort to create a post to know enough about their crush! And this is the internet. This is tumblr. This is not a legitimate textbook and should probably not be used as one.

• PLEASE LABEL WHO IT IS. We get a lot of submissions with no names! It helps our organization superfold when we know who we’re submitting; in fact a submission with no name will often be deleted.

• THERE IS A TAG PAGE FOR A REASON. Yes, it loads slowly, but that is because there are a lot of crushes! Instead of asking or requesting someone, it might be nice to check that out. There might already be a huge amount of Lord Byron for your entertainment!

• FEEL FREE TO SPICE UP THE FLAVOR. We, here at FYHC endorse the use of cussing and bamfing to properly express the overall hardcority of crushes! :D

• WE LOVES MEMES. MEMES ARE FUNNY. WE ENCOURAGE FUNNY AND INTERNET SPAWNED THINGS WITH HISTORY FIGURES IN THEM! I WISH WE GOT FANFICITON SENT IN, THAT WOULD BE AWESOME.

• I GENERALLY DO NOT LIKE TO SPAM FOLLOWERS WITH A LOT OF ASKS. That is why sometimes I will reply to you privately or if you’re anon, I just won’t. This holds especially true when it’s about some sort of fiasco happening on FYHC. Sometimes it dies down before I get the chance to publish the asks and sometimes I figure publishing them will only fan the fire! I’m really sorry I have to do that sometimes, because I really love receiving everyone’s input, and all our followers are very clever and intelligent so it’s wonderful. And sometimes I feel kind of rude not publishing publicly the asks, but then I feel obnoxious when I post too many! So just putting that out there!
