This is: Émile Nelligan In this picture he is 24 years old. Hubba hubba, right? THe same year this photo was taken, he went insane and never recovered. Rumor has it that his insanity was due to his parents’ cultural and language differences. I found that kind of strange. His poetry was first published when he was 16, which I find quite impressive! He was French-Canadian, and his poetry had a sad, romantic feeling to it. Although most of his works were never completed due to his incapability to do so after his breakdown, he is considered of the greatest poets.
