My history crush is Gaius Mucius Scaevola, AKA “Lefty,” the Roman who demonstrated his spunk by putting his right hand into a fire and single-handedly ending the war against the Etruscan king Porsena around 503 BC. Although his existence is still debated, his story is remembered through the many statues and artworks portraying his bravery.
