Artemisia Gentileschi. Caravaggisti. Brilliant painter (improved on Caravaggio, in my opinion). Her painting of Judith Slaying Holofernes is better than all the others because she painted Judith (apparently based on her own appearance?) as this strong, angry, aggressive lady who don’t take no bullshit from no one, rather than as some waif.
