Dickey Chapelle: aeronautical design student, pilot enthusiast, National Geographic photographer, war correspondent, photojournalist, military supporter, veteran, world traveler.  All-around professional bad-ass.  She served in the Pacific Theatre in WWII, was a POW during the Hungarian Revolution of 1956, went through paratrooper training, kicked it with the troops, and had great fashion sense.  KIA in Vietnam in November 1965, the first female correspondent killed in Vietnam and the first American female correspondent killed in action.  Not only do I have a serious history crush on her, but a bit of a girl crush as well.  And I want to be her when I grow up.
