Richard P. Feynman; May 11, 1918 - February 15, 1988
An American physicist. Won the Nobel Prize in Physics (jointly with Julian Schwinger and Sin-Itiro Tomonaga) in 1965 for his contributions to the development of quantum electrodynamics. Also worked in the development of the atomic bomb, theoretical physics, as well as particle physics.
The man was damn amazing in physics, but he was just a fascinating person in general. He translated the Mayan Dresden Codex from scratch and gave a lecture on it. For fun.
